COSHH

Control of substances hazardous to health.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) is a UK health and safety regulation designed to protect people from the risks associated with hazardous substances used or produced in the workplace. It requires employers to identify hazardous substances, assess the risks they present, and implement suitable control measures to prevent or minimise exposure.

Hazardous substances covered by COSHH include our range of products and any other materials that could cause harm through inhalation, skin contact, ingestion or eye contact.

A typical COSHH assessment considers:

  • The hazards of the substance.

  • Who may be exposed and how.

  • The level of risk during normal use.

  • Appropriate control measures such as ventilation, PPE and safe working practices.

  • Emergency procedures for spills or accidental exposure.

  • Storage, handling and disposal requirements.

  • Training and information provided to employees.

By carrying out COSHH assessments and following appropriate control measures, businesses can reduce the risk of occupational illness, comply with UK health and safety legislation, and provide a safer working environment for employees, contractors and visitors.

Whilst a COSHH assessment is specific to each installation and as such, cannot be supplied by Star Uretech, we do provide our customers with product specific 'Single-Component Moisture-Curing Pedestal Adhesive' COSHH assessments which are available to our customers in the 'downloads' page of this website.
