Pedestal Thread Locking Adhesive
Product Description
StarFix T-LOCK is a single component adhesive formulated for use on raised access flooring pedestal screw threads.
StarFix T-LOCK is a solvent free, one component, modified polyurethane adhesive used in the access flooring industry on pedestal threads. It is supplied in an ‘applicator bottle’ and when cured, StarFix T-LOCK forms a hard film that ensures pedestal head is secured from movement caused by vibration.
Application Instructions
StarFix T-LOCK is supplied as a single component 250g unit that does not require mixing or stirring. The adhesive is used straight from the special applicator bottle by pointing the tip towards the thread and gently squirting the product onto the thread. The product will flow along the thread and cure, locking the head to the base.
Cure Time
The time taken to achieve full cure can be reduced in cold temperatures (<10°C) and dry air or increased in warm temperatures (>30°C) and humid air. These varied conditions will not affect the initial rate of cure (front-end cure), and the adhesive will remain in a workable state for approximately 1 hour and reach full cure after approximately 4 hours.
Coverage Rates
To achieve the maximum bond strength, each pedestal requires a minimum of 3.5g of adhesive applied to its thread. Each StarFix T-LOCK bottle contains a total of 250g which if applied at 4g per pedestal will be sufficient for:

Product Storage
StarFix T-LOCK contains isocyanates and the advice contained in the products Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is of particular importance.
Good standards of industrial hygiene should be observed when handling this product. Protective gloves should be worn when handling the containers. The recommendations made in the Health and Safety data sheet for this product should always be observed.
