Information - Grids

Gravel grids are a form of aggregate retention matting which consists of an interconnected lattice structure allowing aggregate to fill the voids and reducing its migration from the matted area.

Star Uretech do not recommend the use of gravel grids as a substitute for a tarmacadam or concrete base course on a surface that may receive frequent vehicular traffic. Gravel grids can be used on areas that will only receive light vehicular traffic, foot-traffic or on installations that feature an incline greater than 20% (11.3⁰) and in such cases the grids should have a minimum 3.5mm wall thickness, be a minimum of 40mm in depth and be made from a low-density polyethylene.
